The story of East Coast Salon Services begins in 1957 when two Philadelphians, Stan Klet, a musician, and Joe Marcelli, a draftsman, met during basic training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This meeting began a 47-year friendship and a business relationship that has spanned 45 years.

In 1959, Stan took over his family’s small beauty supply business after his father’s untimely death and invited Joe to join him as a partner. From these humble beginnings, Stan and Joe built a 3-man operation into a leading distributor in the beauty industry, covering 6 states with 13 stores and over 125 employees.

Even with this growth, the company has essentially remained a family business. Stan’s daughters Kara, Kim and Kris are very active in the company and Joe's son, Joseph, is a sales consultant.

The family does not stop there, however. Every employee at East Coast is considered a part of the family, and we consider you, our customer, in the family too. We care deeply about your needs.
